FOR ADULTS

RETAIL SKILLS INTERNSHIP

Want to work in Retail? Earn & Learn

Bodanna offers internships to out-of-school youth (17 - 24). The 6-week internship provides about 100 hours of training and work experience in all aspects of working in a retail store: customer service, sales, increasing profitability, and visual merchandising. Interns are paid a small stipend and transportation.

Why an internship?

Bodanna is filling the gap - There are 200,000 youth between ages 16 and 24 who are not in school and are not working. Through partnerships with other nonprofit organizations such as The Door, Bodanna offers soft skills training in basic workplace skills and etiquette through the internship experience. In the process, youth develop critical skills needed to get and keep a job, a important first step in transitioning to a successful adulthood. To participate, youth need to be enrolled in GED classes or a high school graduate or GED certificate holder.
